THE GATES TO OTHER WORLDS

The Gate

Artist: Christophe Vacher

The Gates to Other-Worlds. At dusk and dawn well visible, for those who take the time to stop and look around. Personally I love to have my camera with me during those moments, especially when in Nature. It's like looking through a pair of magical glasses, just it is a camera lense. Usually I wander about and pick a spot to sit down, breath in the air of the morning or evening, quiet my thoughts and become still within, listening to the sounds of my chosen surrounding.

I'm sure every human has experienced such moments, drifting off into a waking dream land, into other worlds. Don't we dream all the time? Sometimes we are aware of it, most of the time not. As Children it is our 'normal' state of being. With awareness I can step into any world I choose and my Imagination just loves it.

Have you ever sensed some unexplained 'things' (no-name) of movement? Images of creatures appear in the corner of the eye and then vanish when focused on? Or on a cold day, the face is gently caressed by an innocent warm breeze, out of nowhere. One of my favourite experiences is being enveloped by a sweet fragrance, loving my body and being, a perfume of a loving entity. Many give these experiences no further thought, others awaken to the worlds. They become eventually Gate-Dreamers, wandering the worlds of the one world, the Imagination is the vehicle to ride on. I am one of those Gate-Dreamers, a respectful observer, a passionate student, a human in love with Life.

There are many Gates into other worlds, easier accessable in Nature. In the City it's less obvious, different, more hidden and symbolic. It requires to step out of the world of time, to open up the Senses and to simply let yourself be surprised by your Imagination. It's like becoming a child again.

Eventually the Gates dissappear and 'thee worlds' become One. A massive world of living organisms. It can be quite confusing sometimes! What is reality, does reality even exist? It is everywhere and nowhere. There are no limits.

As above so below

The world I love to step into is through the Gate of Nature. Into a world of Trees, Water, Animals, Earth and Sky. Whenever I am inmidst of a personal crises, I then search specifically a place in Nature to rest and to open up my heart. Sometimes I just talk with an interesting stone, or I observe a stream, listening to its bubbles and gurgles. Trees are great company and protectors. I ask for a friend within their circle and lean my back onto its body. Just sitting there with all these loud noises in my mind, emptying it out, transforming. Knowing I'm safe I let my emotional body give expression to the sorrow within. After the pain has ceased and I'm emptied, amazing 'things' start to happen. Once a tiny bird popped up in front of my wet swollen red face, landed an armlength away on a treebranch and started chirping wildly, looking at me. The chirping went on for quite awhile and I kept crying for quiet awhile. Eventually I stopped and wondered what this whole fuss is about, this sadness, this emotional turmoil. I had no idea, so I started to laugh. That was it's message. Non-sense, enjoy Life! Thank you little one, thank you.

Mountains, how I love mountains. They are the earths Cathedrals, mighty and untouchable. Here the Gates to the Other-worlds are right into your face, you stumble over them constantley. Camping in a remote valley in the wilderness and being surrounded by these giant Gods, leaves an impressive imprint on my Being, of how tiny I am and at the same time sensing I am one with all Life. The first few times dwelling within the mouth of these gigantic mountain-teeth, I only brought forth whispering words, I was struck with awe and always will be.

Studying Surrealism Art is a great tool to learn and realize how these Other-Worlds are to be realized, seen and where the Gates are to be found. Also the Myths of Humankind and the ancient stories and fairytales are great advisers. There are many movies and books, Fantasy & SF, which are great reads and mind-opening. One of my favourites is 'What dreams may com', with Robin Williams. A more family fantasy to watch is 'Spiderwick'. Of course not to forget the Artist Salvador Dali . Found some interesting new artitsts too: Yacek Yerka and Vladimir Kush. In the sur-real World, Imagination has no borders, so everything is possible.

What Dreams may Come

My Quest in wandering the worlds, is to find the well camouflaged beings there. Looking through my magic camera-lense helps me to catch them. It is sort of like stalking. Click, picture taken. Thank you for posing. Usually I start a conversation with the Being, expressing my respect and thank you's for posing. It is more like exchanging feelings without words. It can be a rock, a bush, a tree, a flower. It can be mosquitos dancing with the surface of the water at sunset, or mountains reflected in a glacier lake. It is not what my eyes see, its outer form, to give thanks too; it is the feelings I sense and the symbolic of the being. We all have messages for eachother, it is about learning to see again through the eyes of Life and to communicate in the language of Life, we just need to remember.

My favourite searching spots are the homes of tree-logs, stone-boulders, wild-flowers and water-reflections. The colors blue and yellow are very dominant and the various hues of green in the trees and bushs, worlds within worlds.

Following some catches from the Otherworlds:

Can you see?

Hmmh...? I'm not alone!

Maybe all these amazing creatures we hear of, in old myths and fairytales do exist. Beings in some Other world, a reality of Giants and Fairy's, Mermaids and Unicorns, Brownies and Treeguardians. Maybe they have just transformed, as all Beings do. Isn't it interesting how as children we are told fairytales before we go to bed, in kindergarten or on TV and then, a few years later before we go to school, we are told in the face, that all these stories were made up, not true, non-sense. Why even bother then? What's the point? It is like killing Life in all its Beauty, leaving children with an impression of emptiness and mistrust. I believe here is where we loose a part of our integrity, our true being.

It explains partly why humans are so confused with what is truth and what is not, or the repeating question: who am I? Most have just forgotton how to look beyond the set up barriers of perception. Children are great teachers and guides into these Magical Worlds, they can still see and know how to pass through these Gates, and are always willing to share. Just watch how they play, when is the last time you played?

Why does a Trilogy as 'Lord of the Rings' catch millions of peoples attention and imagination? Now, a new Trilogy called 'ERAGON' has catched the worlds attention again. There must be some Truth within these Fablestory's. Why? Because, it touches almost every Human-Being. Maybe its a feeling of Hope. There are so many univeral symbols and metaphors in these kind of stories, it is our own story we are reading. The fight for a peaceful world. A world of Harmony and Love, not Fear and Control.

Following poem from Ghalib, as fin:

This world is nothing more than Beauty's chance to show Herself.

And what are we?-

Nothing more than Beauty's chance to see Herself.

For if Beauty were not seeking Herself,

we would not exist.

Every particle of creation sings its own song

of what is, and of what is not.

The wise hear what is;

the mad hear what is not -

And only a cracked mirror will show a difference.

All your knowledge leads you in the wrong direction.

All your worship only puts you to sleep.

Insipid is this world which only believes in what is seen;

Here, taste the wine from a Cup that cannot be seen.

The one who has adorned himself with the Creator's form

Is the only one fit to guard the purity of both worlds.

On account of those who repeat His Name,

This Earth has become a paradise, an honored place

in the order of creation.

God's love is on this Earth

And the Heavens forever bend over to greet Her.
